Extractions: Peter was born in Cairo, Egypt and was four years old when he arrived in Katoomba. As soon as Peter was enrolled at Katoomba Primary School he realised that he was different, firstly being called an aboriginal because he was darker and later in the mid 50's becoming a wog and a dago. These traumatic torments could have broken his spirit but Peter soon realised that if he gave as good as he got these remarks soon became terms of endearment. Just as the English immigrants were most offended when they were addressed with 'how ya going you old bastard" and "bloody POME...." etc.

Extractions: Russ' 1969 Super Bee Restoration In 1994, Russ scored a sweet deal on a '69 Super Bee. He bought it form Hot Rod Mary, who bought it from some speed freaks in Oakland, who somehow got it from the original owner, a cop in New Jersey. Since Russ got his hands on it for a sweet $3600, he has been hot rodding and restoring it. With the help of Matt Poulos, James, Mike and Glen from Commons, and other friends, the Bee was torn down to the bare bones and is coming back together with all its new bells and whistles. When the time came for a new motor, Russ called the specialists at Ray Barton Racing Engines , who have as many sick ass Mopars on the cover of Mopar rags as Dick Landy and Keith Black, who also build sick ass engines. The motor's got almost as many Hemi parts in it as a Hemi, the main difference is that this 440 has more horsepower and torque then a stock Hemi.

Extractions: Jobs News Home Advertisement April 7 When you are a university scientist, do you ever have time that is truly your own? E-mail Print That question is at the crux of a debate at Brown University over intellectual property. The university is moving toward a new policy Sean Ling, Scott Jaschik If Prof has a start up company and is serious about the start-up company he should be full time at the start-up company. He should take a leave of absence to pursue this economic opportunity. A leave of absence perhaps would render his activity out of the reach of the University. In fact, I do not believe Brown is after company assets under this policy. Brown appears to be trying to prevent technology from leaving the University via a back door. A start-up usually has a license from the University (the front door approach)to commercially exploit the technology.

Extractions: This year was the occasion of the annual Frankie Tree Lighting. Held the night of Dec. 5 at the Novato Youth Center, it brought together many of the people near and dear to the Pouloses and attracted a crowd of young singers who rang in the season with the sweet voices only the young can sing. From the time he was a little kid, Frankie Poulos had been big on Christmas, big on Santa.
