Extractions: Kim Possible Kimberly McCullough Talks About Success After GH And Whether She'll Ever Return To Port Charles By Tara Shaffer Craig Sjodin/ABC "I'm flattered that the fans still talk about me even though it's been years since I've been on the show," Kimberly McCullough (ex-Robin, GENERAL HOSPITAL) smiles after Digest reveals that she is one of fans' most asked about (and asked about, and asked about....) former daytime stars. "I didn't realize I had such a following." McCullough, who has just wrapped up an appearance on SOAPnet's SOAP TALK, is quite stunned to hear about the incredibly large amount of fan mail Digest receives daily ... which contains many pleas to ABC to bring her back to GH, which she called home from 1985-96, 1997-98 and, briefly, 1999. "That's never happened; ABC hasn't asked me to return to GENERAL HOSPITAL," McCullough states. "They may have talked to me about [a possible return] after I first left the show, but nothing happened with that." A glaring snub? Although angry fans believe that to be the case, the actress doesn't see it as one. "I don't feel slighted at all," she insists. "The way soap operas work is three years or nothing. I can't commit to that and because things are going so well, I don't want to right now. If they asked me back for something other than that, I would definitely consider it."

Extractions: Amber Tamblyn was the one who called and told me about Anna Lee. She was crying on the phone and was very upset. It was really shocking and nothing I expected to hear. It was really sad for me because I hadn't been on the show in such a long time. It was sad for everyone being back on the set but it was great for everyone to get together and honor someone who made such an incredible contribution to the show. She touched our lives in so many ways while we were working with her.

Extractions: We, the fans of Kimberly McCullough and her character, Robin Scorpio, wish to express our displeasure and utter disappointment with the news that she has left the show. Whether the decision was of Kimberly's own accord or the decision of the powers that be at General Hospital, we are devastated. However, we are not giving in so quickly. First and foremost, we would like to address the idea of recasting the character of Robin Scorpio. We will not stand for it! There have been rumors of possibly bringing Robert, Anna or Duke back to General Hospital. And with the resurgence of Faison, we know that is very possible. And of course, we know that Robin plays an important part in these stories. But we also know that it would only work if Kimberly McCullough were playing the role. We have also been hearing that General Hospital is considering recasting Robin because they want to focus on her HIV status since there is so much more of a story to tell. When Kimberly came back to GH in November of 1997, Robins HIV status was ignored to such a degree that it was a complete disgrace. And now that Kimberly is gone, it should be focused on? One of the major reasons that the HIV story line was successful was because of the beautiful, inspired performances that Kimberly gave. Kimberly McCullough played the biggest part in a story that put GH on the map and won countless awards for the show! Please don't steal that from her (and the fans of GH) by letting some other actress sneak in and continue the story that belongs to her.
