Anyway, I was up to take my girlfriend to work and low and behold I get a letter addressed to Dubbs. I open it and it was like christmas. I signed - and personalized Timmy photo, and a Timmy Fan card.

The original presenters were all new faces to television. There was Arabella Warner a former TV-am researcher, James Baker graduating from the TV-am postroom and Timmy Mallett from Picadilly Radio. The programme contained a mix of entertainment and factual features. There was the cookery item Wac Snax which usually ended in disaster!, sketches (who remembers Fables, Parables and Miracles ?), behind the scenes reports, cartoons like The Go-Botts , animal expert Jimmy McKee and his unusual pets, medical man Dr Pete and The Way of the World a feature item about a topical news story. Wide Awake Club - UKGameshows Awardwinning Shakespearean actor (lie) timmy mallett used to explain the game Picture 1 - Shy, retiring, grey. timmy mallett is none of these things. http://www.ukgameshows.com/index.php/Wide_Awake_Club
Extractions: Timmy Mallett ITV, 1986-92, part of the "Wacaday" kids programme Award-winning Shakespearean actor (lie) Timmy Mallett used to explain the game in one breath like so: "Mallett'smalletisawordassociationgamewhere youmustn'tpauseyoumustn'thesitateyoumustn't repeatawordelseyougetabashontheheadlikeTHIS! orlikeTHIS!Weplayforaminuteandtheonewiththemostbruisesloses." ...and it's impossible to improve on that description. Timmy would leer at the kids in turn, until one or the other provided a word that was foul for any of the reasons above, that just wasn't anything to do with the previous word or no word at all, upon which event he would deal a blow to the head of the offender with Mallett's Mallet and trigger a squeaky sound effect. The mallet in question was large, bright and made of foam, causing no injuries whatsoever. Two children about to be hit with a large foam rendition of a popular DIY tool Two pairs of kids used to face off against each other, the winners (kids receiving fewer bashes on the bonce) meeting in a later final. Winning kids would receive prizes; losing kids would receive sticking plasters, attached to a location of their choice, which they would wave with pride. That is all. The initial face-off where contestants were encouraged to psyche each other out by going "BLEARGH!" - with accompanying gesture - at one another, then "BLEARGH!" at the camera, to which we were supposed to respond in kind. Funny if you're under ten, which the audience were.

"I have visited the area, and cannot imagine the havoc that will be subjected to the lives of these people who live at the Camphill village. "I certainly can not envisage anything like this happening here in the States. There are 40,000 members in the NYRR club and I am sure all of them will be shocked to learn of this plan. I am looking at ways to make this issue aware to the people of New York." An author and writer, Toby Tanser has vowed to encourage support from the athletic clubs of New York to underline that the future of the Camphill community in Aberdeen is of worldwide concern.

The purpose of the visit was to highlight the campaign and receive added support, both of which were achieved, with over 300 signatures being added to a 'Save Camphill' petition. Apr 29, 2004 The campaign to save a special- needs community that is threatened with being split in two by Aberdeen's planned bypass has received new backing from a North-east MSP. Tory MSP David Davidson has lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament highlighting the impact on the Camphill Community at Newton Dee, at Bieldside, if the city's western peripheral route passes through it. Mr Davidson hopes to secure enough support from MSPs so that a debate can be held in the parliament. "I took the opportunity to visit Newton Dee and was struck again by quite what a special place it is and what a huge impact it has on the local community and the North East as a whole," David Davidson explained

For no sooner do we hear that the current number one, Crazy Frog, is about to hop out a whole album of his chums, than King Of Cheese, Timmy Mallett, reveals that he is planning to release his annoying hits as rival ringtones. Timmy, who shot to fame wacking people on the head with his huge sponge mallett in children's TV show Wacaday, hit the top of the charts in 1990 with Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. It was a collaboration with Andrew Lloyd Webber under the pseudonym of Bombalurina. Millions bought the catchy tune at the time but it soon became grating, since being named as one of the world's worst records in the history of pop. But this bad taste label hasn't deterred the gaudy shirt-wearing star from his musical aspirations. Timmy later released a string of other songs including, Seven Little Girls Sitting In The Back Seat, Laughing Policeman, and another joint-effort with Lloyd Webber, Huggin An' A Kissin.
