Timmy is most well known for hosting 'Wacaday', a high speed children's show which ran from the mid 1980's to early 1990's. He has also had a number one single and is just as well known for his outrageous glasses. Below are the main questions I asked Timmy Mallett.

BBC - Berkshire - Radio Berkshire - Wacasaturday! timmy mallett had old chum Rolf Harris on his show recently see the photos below! It was his last show for Radio Berkshire as he was filling in for Andrew http://www.bbc.co.uk/berkshire/content/articles/2005/03/04/timmy_mallett_feature
Extractions: Producer David Sheppard gets his ears blasted! The normally calm and tranquil atmosphere (not!) of Timmy Mallett's Saturday show was supplemented by a little wobble-board madness this week, when Bray's Rolf Harris dropped in for a surprise visit. The Aussie had tied his kangaroo down and popped in to Radio Berkshire towers to visit his old chum. A bit of wobbleboard wackiness from Rolf The artist and pop star had heard that Timmy's Australian relatives were in town, and decided he would join in the fun. The digeridoo and jews harp were unleashed, and within minutes young Billy Mallett had challenged Rolf to an Australian flavoured round of his Dad's cult game, Mallett's Mallet. Needless to say the mallett bounced off Rolf's bonce like a wacky wallaby. The live music was supplemented by tracks from Rolf's new album, Now And Then.

After that everything was a blur. Looking up from an interview with one of the stars of my favourite programme Hollyoaks I saw three young boys, no older than other boys of their age, chucking stones at one of the ducks. It was a vision that will haunt me to my grave and beyond, if you believe in that sort of thing, which personally I dont. The next thing I knew Timmy Mallett appeared from out of everywhere and said in a quiet but very firm voice Hey there, you boys, leave that duck alone, he or she has done nothing to harm you so move along this instant

Lynda and Timmy Mallett along with their son Billy visited St Benoit for the first time. Lynda gives us a feel for their trip there. What a great time with had with the French mayor and family. We could not have been better placed. Dominic, his wife Sophie and son Theo nearly 13 were just so hospitable and kind. Dominic, St Benoit's mayor, with his wife Sophie and son Theo Lovely home with room to move. I must admit I was a little concerned with the thought of mattresses on the floor and heavy smoking Galloise Frenchies with doubtful food for vegetarian Timmy. But in fact, it could only be described as great. Fortunately Dominic has good English (not perfect) but frankly that makes it all the more fun. Gave us something to laugh about on the language front. Sophie has only ever spoken at language school so to speak to some real fast-talking English in English was a real challenge. Theo was a shy adolescent, and with only two years of English at school he was quiet. Inside the mayor's house But Billy, having had a school trip recently to Normandy and now this........wow did his confidence grow. He even stood on the restaurant chair and said in French Hello my name is Billy Mallett I live in C'ham and I love bonbons but d'test e'cole! It brought a laugh.

Extractions: The trail for Edvard Munch's stolen Scream has gone cold, which means that there are only two other Screams left (Munch painted three, and one of the other two is in private hands). An intolerable situation, particularly for the Munch Museum which is going to have to reprint all of its floorplans, and re-record all their audio guides... And to the left you can see a slightly lighter rectangle of wallpaper and two small holes... Turns out that the Munch Museum hadn't insured The Scream (stupid really, when you consider how often the damned thing is stolen) - so this means that they're going to have to look downmarket for a replacement. Fortunately, this is where Timmy Mallett comes in. Timmy Mallett is not only a former children's TV star, he is also, it turns out, a very talented artist, wielding "Mallett's Pallette" (his own coinage) with a skill that befits someone who studied History of Art at Warwick University. Timmy's portraits can be found in the painting Were they to purchase it, the museum would benefit from a whole flood of new visitors - Wacafans would come in their droves to see Mallett's art given due prominence at last. Munch fans would fast become Mallett fans, and vice versa. Both artists would benefit, and the Munch Museum would clean up on ticket sales.
