And being only a trained pianist with no bass guitar training whatsoever. Rewind to the start of the day. After getting my SPM results, I ate lunch with a few friends. Then I had a long talk with some people. I hope they understood what I said, seeing that (on hindsight) I don't think I expressed myself clearly enough since my thoughts were quite jumbled at that time. But God, I pray that they will know where I am and how I feel, even though I don't really know myself. And that they will know because You reveal these secrets to them. Right now, as I think about this, my human mind is thinking, "Why do I even bother?" but the Holy Spirit is prompting me to be patient and not to let my love grow cold. So, of course, I listen to the Holy Spirit.

I know that there are sites like Friendster which are made specially for this purpose, but I feel that weblogs are a better means of looking since you can tell a person's personality and character more through blogs than through whatever little information they provide (biodata) or always-positive testimonials. And besides, I like to look for honesty and transparency. I don't like "plasticky" people. I was searching for other Malaysian Christian teen blogs (before I found the community at Xanga) through Google and I came across IreneQ . Wonderful. She wasn't a teen, but she was a Christian Malaysian and at that time, she blogged regularly and I managed to catch a glimpse of what it was like living a life for God as a working adult. Nowadays she doesn't blog regularly anymore since she needs some time off to concentrate on other priorities. The last time she blogged was January 31 (not counting the recent posts which were interesting but relatively impersonal).

Extractions: Editor's Note Our next issue of Narratives will be our final one, as our project turns its attention to producing books based on these interviews. When those books are produced, profits will revert back to the project, as the costly work of transcribing and organizing will be continuing for years to come. Thank you again to everyone who has worked so hard on this issue; it has taken a small army of good people to pull this all together: Volunteer fact-checkers Richard Brito and Bill Davies, who, as always, are quick and thorough. Our guest editors, Henry Mendoza, Robert Montemayor and Griff Singer, who turned into editing machines so we could get all these stories edited quickly and expertly. And our copy editors have handled stories quickly and expertly. Emily Quigley of the Statesman, was helped by Griff Singer, Cheryl Brownstein-Santiago of the LA Times, and Guillermo Torres, of the San Antonio Express-News. And finally, when we desperately needed Spanish-language copy editing, we imposed on Alfredo Carbajal-Madrid, who was in the middle of moving from Riverside California, where he was managing editor for La Prensa, to Dallas, where he is the new managing editor of the new Belo publication Al Dia in Dallas, which begins publication in September. Our ace photo editors Yen-Yi Liu and Thomas Meredith, undergraduate photojournalism students who have been indispensable and delightful to work with. And our diligent and creative (and patient!) lay out and design editor, Beth Butler, who has turned a mountain of text files and scanned photos into gold.

Twenty years later, Ms Tate won the right to keep her own children by showing a judge how she could change diapers with her mouth. She had two daughters of her own and adopted two others. She began performing music in 1984 to stunned crowds. Later, she typed out her life story with her tongue. VCEART - Yvonne Koolmatrie, Commentaries & Critiques The work of yvonne Koolmatrie incorporates both a continuation of tradition and Anne lim, 1997 Discussing Koolmatrie s works on exhibit at the Venice http://www.vceart.com/artists/koolmatrie/page.3.html
Extractions: (Lepidosperma canesens) , that Koolmatrie uses today. Contemporary Ngarrindjeri fibre artists find in this archival footage not only indications about the movement patterns of the maker and the materials used, but also a confirmation that this work was always an artistic as well as functional activity. The work of Yvonne Koolmatrie incorporates both a continuation of tradition and departure from it, providing insights into past practice as well as shaping a future for indigenous fibre practice in Australia. Judith Ryan, 1999 Koolmatrie's work has grown out of her close knowledge of Ngarrindjeri traditional forms and practices and her intuitive response to the River environment where Aboriginal people used to go and collect rushes long ago. As she puts it: 'I might be along the River and see different shapes and think that's a good way to weave. I don't sketch it. I just get my rushes and start to weave'. Koolmatrie's practice is a process of revival and maintenance. It involves researching oral and institutional histories, and reinstating cultural traditions, which are then passed on to others through collaborative work and teaching. Koolmatrie also appeals to a sense of community beyond the cultural specificity of the Ngarrindjeri, through her regular programme of exchange with people of diverse cultural origins and aesthetic practices.
