Although LaSalle's exit has been suspected for some time, ER producer John Wells confirmed as much in a statement Monday, saying the actor will follow fellow original cast member Anthony Edwards out the door after the 2001-02 season, when their contracts expire a d v e r t i s e m e n t "It is extremely difficult to lose a cast member that is so integral to our show," said Wells.
