Keller Bible The Bible was inherited by mary Alice keller, eldest daughter, who married Jacob Smith page 2 BIRTHS Rosanna Jane keller born September the 23rd 1848 http://www.biblerecords.com/keller.html
Extractions: Please find enclosed the best effort at typing up our family bible which I made a copy of a few years ago. Any questions, please contact me. Jim Keller. [Notes: The original Bible belonged to Peter Samuel Keller and Clarinda Schryver who were married on February 2, 1931 in Fredericksburgh Twp., Lennox and Addington Co., Ontario. The original transcript from Lutheran Church Record 1793-1832 has her name as Clarinda Unger. Her obituary and tomestone at Centreville put her last name as Schryver. To date no birth record has been located for either last name or any previous marriages. Peter Samuel Keller was the eldest son of Samuel Keller and Rosanna Warner of Fredericksburgh Twp., Lennox and Addington Co., Ontario. The handwriting seems to be a mixture of two distinct styles so I have indicated where one starts and the other ends and where the original starts again. The Bible was inherited by Mary Alice Keller, eldest daughter, who married Jacob Smith Rombough. The Bible then went to Seymour Benjamin Rombough who married Lillian Roy Spence and finally to Ada Rombough who married Harold Doupe. In abt.1992, Ada still had the Bible when copies were made of these pages. As far as I know she is still living in rural Camden Twp. near Centreville, Ontario.]

Henry Lamson & Gladys Maxcy Keller Family Henry and Gladys keller, now nearing eighty, are among the last of this historic The girls were Ellen and mary the boys were Wesley, Henry, Jesse, http://kalloch.org/henry_lamson_keller_family.htm
Extractions: In observance of the Bicentennial of the United States of America, 1776-1976, I would like to call attention to one of the older families in the community of West Rockport. This is the Keller family, whose roots go back in the community nearly two and a half centuries. Henry and Gladys Keller, now nearing eighty, are among the last of this historic family. Henry and Gladys Keller have been very active in the community. They are both 56-year members of the Grange, and they also belong to the Extension and other farm organizations. Henry Kellers ancestors came to this area back with the first settlers in 1735, over 240 years past, eight generations ago. Henry Keller has trod the same footsteps as his forefathers have; he has worked the same soil, he has breathed the same parched dust, he has fought the heat and cold, he has left bloodstains on the land and machinery and on pasture fences, same as the Keller's have done before him. He has carried the Keller traditions, pride and respect and love in his community. He has served on the board of selectmen for his town and many other services. His wife, Gladys, has worked hand in hand with Henry day or night on the farm. When any cattle or sheep were sick, they both watched over them. She would deliver the milk and eggs while Henry was haying or doing the other work on the farm. Gladys did all the secretarial work, the bookkeeping, plus the housework and canning. She has been the life-blood for our community church; for many years Gladys has played the piano in the church for the Sunday services as well as weddings, funerals and other occasions.

Extractions: contents Print Email Summary: About the life of Helen Keller, the deafblind woman who became a role model for millions of people The life of Helen Keller Helen Adams Keller was born on 27 June 1880 in Tuscumbia, a small rural town in Northwest Alabama, USA. The daughter of Captain Arthur Henley Keller and Kate Adams Keller she was born with full sight and hearing. Kate Keller was a tall, statuesque blond with blue eyes. She was some twenty years younger than her husband Captain Keller, a loyal southerner who had proudly served in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. The following few years proved very hard for Helen and her family. Helen became a very difficult child, smashing dishes and lamps and terrorising the whole household with her screaming and temper tantrums. Relatives regarded her as a monster and thought she should be put into an institution. Anne Sullivan had lost the majority of her sight at the age of five. By the age of ten, her mother had died and her father deserted her. She and her brother Jimmie were sent to the poorhouse in February 1876.
