Extractions: Known Descendants Henry Rowley was probably born in England. There are a number of conflicting claims as to his origin, but documentation has not been forthcoming. He was first found in the opening chapter of the Plymouth Colony Court Records, when he was taxed. There are a number of references to him as he participated in various tasks in the colony. His was one of the first marriages recorded, when he was re-married to Anne Elsdon, 17 October 1633. He was one of the first to greet the Rev. John Lothrop, when he first arrived in Scituate after being released from the Tower of London. Lothrop's diary leads one to believe that Henry Rowley was part of his congregation when Archbishop Laud's men arrested many at Blackfriars in London. If so, that may explain why we are unable to determine in what manner he arrived at Plymouth. Perhaps he was spirited away in the dark of the night and smuggled aboard a vessel without being recorded as being there. This chart is presented, listing descendants from various sources. There may be, and very probably are, errors in this list. Please do us, and everyone who makes use of this, a big favor by notifying me at

Extractions: and Cora Elizabeth Reed) home in the country outside of McComb, MS. She loved her flowers and my Grandfather had a wonderful garden. My Mother was the youngest in the family and everyone said she was the most spoiled!! She was voted the prettiest hands in her high school class!! One of my favorite stories about my Grandparents was when one of my cousins and I were visiting in the summer we saw a snake. We screamed, as little girls do, and my Grandfather came running. He grabbed a hoe and began chopping at the snake, then my Grandmother came out of the house and saw that my Grandfather was not only chopping at the snake but her Azalea bush. She quickly grabbed the hoe and calmly pulled the snake out from under her prized flowers and then chopped off the snake's head. ***Carla D Woolley; 5628 MacNeill Drive; Fort Worth, TX 76148-3914; sent a group sheet on the family of Elizabeth Radcliffe (b 1 Jan 1820 - d 29 Jan 1892) married William Robinson Flinn (b 14 Jan 1817 - d 8 Apr 1887).
