Extractions: The following is the "index" to the family group sheets for the descendants of Paul Biffle I have included as much detail as I have through the 6th generation. After that, I have included names of descendants and spouses, but no links to completed group sheets. The 7th generation group sheets may have individuals on them who are still alive, and for privacy reasons I do not want to give detailed information on them. Otherwise, this list would be enormous! So, if you don't find the individual you are looking for, look for his or her parents and then send me the updated information. I don't guarantee accuracy of the information given or whether there is proof for every individual. If you find any errors, omissions, bad links or just typos, please contact me. As you can see, I have a lot of information on some families and very little on others. If you would like to share what you have, again, please contact me. Lakeside Cemetery Susan Stone Bryan Jan. 25, 1903); Bryan, Leethard Douglass Lewis 18881956 (Wifeof William McWhite, Olla Hart 1871-1935 (Wife of Bartow Bee McWhite) http://www.hchsonline.org/cemetery/lakeside.html
Extractions: Lakeside Cemetery, which nestles against Kingston Lake between Ninth Avenue and Lakewood Drive in Conway, is more than a century old. George Burroughs and John Benjamin Mayo, both infants, were buried there in 1869. These are the oldest tombstones which are legible, though there are at least two old wooden markers which are now weathered past any inscriptions which they might have once had. In 1903 Hal L. Buck was intendant (mayor) of Conway. According to the minutes for November 9 of that year, "Intendant reported he had seen Mrs. Addie Burroughs as to the Cemetery and she is willing to donate to the town 6 acres, and make conveyance to town for same as soon as same can be surveyed, provided town pay for rearranging fences and opening street to cemetery. Intendant instructed to take deed on terms named and that Mr. F. A. Burroughs be requested to have fencing done and render bill to town". The arrangements were completed and on June 13, 1904, an ordinance was passed making it the only place within the corporate limits in which bodies could be interred. The ordinance referred to it as the ''new cemetery for white persons'' and records show that separate negotiations were going on for a burial ground for Negroes. The adoption of this ordinance effectively closed the churchyards of Conway to future burials, though some few exceptions have occurred. Lots in Lakeside sold for as little as $5.00 and after its acquisition by the town records of those owning them were maintained by the Town Clerk. A map of the cemetery and lists of the owners of record of the plots are available in the City Hall. No lots have been sold since 1962 by the town, according to Miss Delores Beverly, present City Clerk, but information about those which are for sale by the owners is available. Miss Beverly has been most helpful in making available information included above.

Extractions: Saturday, September 10, 2005 Hamburg, Ashley County, Arkansas Home Local News Obituaries Sports/Outdoors ... Health Ashley County History Beech Creek Cemetery Updated April 10, 2002 The Beech Creek Cemetery is east of Hamburg south of Arkansas Highway 8. To reach the cemetery, go 10.9 miles east from the intersection of Highway 8 and U. S. 425 in Hamburg. Then turn right on Ashley Road 317. Travel south 1.0 miles and then turn right on an unnamed road. The Beech Creek Baptist Church is located .5 miles from that intersection, and the cemetery is .2 miles past the church where the unnamed road dead ends. The cemetery is located at N 33 09.306 and W 91 39.170. The Daughters of the American Revolution survey of the cemetery in February, 1966, by Mr. and Mrs. William T. Files and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dean Miller showed approximately 120 tombstones in this cemetery. During the check in April, 2002, almost all of these markers were still present. The new survey includes a total of about 190 markers. In addition to the marked graves, depressions in the ground indicate many more unmarked graves. Extractions: Woodlawn is in the heart of the very friendly small town of DeRidder, LA. It belongs to the town but has an advisory board to help keep things running smoothly. There are many large, old trees and lots of shrubbery. There are security lights along the driveway which circles the heart of the cemetery. Water faucets are provided to water the grass and/or plants which individuals may choose to plant and care for. The young business women of deridder have installed a meditating area in the baby garden which is located in the north-east corner of Woodlawn. Not to pick out any particular area, but Esther Terry has arranged a lovely place to sit and relax and as she says, visit her loved one. This is a very large cemetery with over 1400 tombstones with names, and a great many vandalized and/or unmarked graves. If any names were missed, we deeply regret it and would be more than happy to make corrections and additions. Some of the tombstones are inscribed in spanish and/or greek. These tombstones we have copied the best we can. Information collected by Roberta B. Doty and Evelyn E. Cole, completed in 1992.
