The Federalist Papers The full Project Gutenberg source (plain text) document is available at They came this way from the Project Gutenberg files. http://www.law.ou.edu/hist/federalist/
Extractions: The Federalist Papers were a series of articles written under the pen name of Publius by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. Madison, widely recognized as the Father of the Constitution, would later go on to become President of the United States. Jay would become the first Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court. Hamilton would serve in the Cabinet and become a major force in setting economic policy for the US. The entire purpose of The Federalist Papers was to gain popular support for the then-proposed Constitution. Some would call it the most significant public-relations campaign in history; it is, in fact, studied in many public relations classes as a prime example of how to conduct a successful campaign. The original scanning of this set of documents was completed by Project Gutenberg; please read the accompanying notice about Project Gutenberg . Hypertext markup James P. For occasional highlights from this blog, join the TeleRead Mailing List Saturday, October 30, 2004: Wi-Fi: A good idea for Phillydespite major challenges Despite some tough challenges ahead, I'm rooting for the proposal to Wi-Fi up the entire city of Philadelphia by summer 2006 . What a way to help spread around not only e-books, but also much else ranging from neighborhood forums to blogs and PODcastswhile helping small businesses go broadband! Within the e-book area, faster downloads will help, along with greater portability, but those advantages are just the start. Wi-Fi can be "on" all the time without hogging the phone lines, so people will be able to browse e-book collections more easily and better take advantage of future innovations such as exact linking from spot to spot within books.
