First Generation John Foster (born before 1767 and died 1825) JOHN FOSTER was born 1767 or earlier (age 50 or over in the 1817 Census) and died before January 25, 1825 at Fishers Grant, Pictou County, Nova Scotia. It is not known where John Foster was born nor is it known who were his parents. Also the name of his wife is not known but she was still living in 1818 when John Foster had his will made. John Foster and his family have been in Nova Scotia, since the 1790s or earlier. But also the Foster family spent some time living in St. Johns Island (Prince Edward Island).
