Extractions: What Are Temples? "A temple is a house of the Lord, literally and in the full sense of the word. He owns it. It is sacred and clean and pure—a fit abode for the Holy One. Where else would he come except to the purest and most sacred places on earth? When he has no houses on earth, he comes to his servants on mountaintops, in groves of trees, or in desert places. But when there is a holy house fit for his presence, such is the place where his servants see his face—all of which is a type of what shall be when he comes to rule and reign on earth. He will appear in many places, chief among which will be the holy houses built and dedicated to him." - Bruce R. McConkie, "The Millennial Messiah: The Second Coming of the Son of Man" [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Co., 1982], 272 Check out The LDS Daily WOOL Archive Page Search the WOOL web site
Youth First Texas - Famous Gay People David Bowie (David Robert Jones, 1947 ), British singer, actor* Ethel FLRRobertson ( Henry Handel Richardson, 1870-1946), Australian novelist http://www.youthfirsttexas.org/famous_gay_people.html
Extractions: Famous Gay People This is a partial list of confirmed and debated famous lesbian, bisexual, or gay people (lesbigay for short). The historical concept and definition of sexual orientation has changed greatly over time the word "gay" wasn't used to describe sexual orientation until the late 20th century. Some historical figures on this list wouldn't be considered "lesbigay" by today's standards, but they are included here because they were known to have had same-sex relationships. But even by today's standards, a relationship or two doesn't necessarily mean one is bisexual. Many people who identify as gay or lesbian have had different-gender relationships in their youth, and many who identify as heterosexual have experimented with same-sex relationships. Due to social norms that have remained consistent throughout history, little information about such matters when discussing historical figures is available; therefore, only educated guesses can be made, based on limited evidence. Extractions: Incomplete membership list Only names that have specifically been named as members of the Pilgrims Society have been added to the list, although all of the persons who occupied the following positions have been made members: President of the US UK ambassador to the US UK secretary of state Permanent representative of the UK to the UN US ambassador to the UK US secretary of state UK consul general at NY The head of the Episcopalian Church in the U.S. and the Archbishop of Canterbury (head Anglican church) were both vice-presidents of the Pilgrims Society in 1942. If this is always the case is unknown. Over time newly found members will be added, just as additional biographical data. The most interesting aspects of a persons life are often also the most hidden. There are at least a hundred more confirmed members, but most of them were already deceased way before WWII, so they have no priority. The most influential members; Rockefeller, Shultz, Volcker, Carrington, Kissinger, and Baker are getting so old they can die at any moment now. Below you'll see the only members I have found at the moment that are below 70 years of age (no secret society?). Royals aren't counted.
