He died on his 70 th birthday. The deceased came to Texas from Missouri about 54 years ago, locating at Miller Grove, moved to Cumby 12 years ago. He served in the Civil War. He was married twice, and two children survive him by the first union, namely, Mrs. Rosa Preston, of Pride, Texas, and Mrs. Mary Battenfield of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his second wife, mother of C. A. Bridges; a sister, Mrs. Paul Reiley of Kirkland; two brothers , Pleas Anderson of Dike, and Bob Anderson, whose present address is unknown. Burial at Miller Grove, conducted Revs. S. M. McPhail and Jarall Moore.
