Three years later his father found employment as a mining engineer in Klondike. Finally the family settled in the small mining town of Oroville. Extractions: In recent weeks there have been certain ethnic groups which have protested the showing of the Charlie Chan Marathon on Fox Movie Channel this summer. In their attempt and to this date success, they have based their crusade on "Fiction" rather than "Fact". It seems that these groups have never actually viewed a Charlie Chan film as their claims of the films degrading the Asian culture are based on these following reasons: We will take the opportunity to provide you with the "Facts" as well as show you in these photos of those individuals who played the Honorable Detective from Honolulu, that these claims are purely "Fictional" and are in no way accurate description on the films. Also we will include the comments from Asian Actors who had long standing roles in the series as to what they felt concerning the films.
