Careers What are the primary lessons of the 2002 FIFA World Cup? Let's start with Lesson No. 1, made evident in the Cup final Sunday by Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Lucio, Marcos, Denilson and all those other guys with one name. Never, ever, count Brazil out of a tournament, especially one as mighty as the World Cup. The bigger the stage, the better for the "Penatcampeao," the five-time world champion. Brazil made amends for its loss in the 1998 final with a convincing 2-0 victory over Germany on Sunday in Yokohama, Japan. Lesson No. 2, one pounded home in earlier matches by the USA, South Korea, Turkey and Senegal, is that the playing field is leveling out. Landon Donovan and friends showed that the Americans can compete with the world's soccer powers. A fourth-place finish in the 2000 Olympics, followed by the U.S. march to the final eight in the World Cup, is not a fluke.

Soccer Training Info - Dribbling Skills And Moves soccer training tips, including information on passing, dribbling, rivaldo possesses the most extraordinary (and expensive) left foot in the world. http://www.soccer-training-info.com/soccer_dribbling_skills.asp
Extractions: The Stop and Go For this move - the key is a change of pace. Jog slowly with the ball, usually done when a defender is along side of you, and then burst past the defender. Again, jog nonchalantly along with the ball, stop for a second, and then burst past the defender. You can also put the sole of your foot on top of the ball for a second when you stop the ball, and then push it forward with your instep when you break off on the dribble again to escape the defender. The Cut Back (The Cruyff) With the inside of the foot cut the ball back behind your body. For example, when using your right foot to cut the ball back you plant your left foot to the side of the ball and then bring your right foot up to cut the ball back. The reverse if you are cutting the ball back with your left foot. This can often look like a fake shot. Dribbling away from a defender into space you chop the ball back with the inside of the foot - then dribble off in that opposite direction. Start by dribbling the ball forward and plant your left foot near the ball as your right leg "winds-up" for a big kick or shot. Instead of shooting however, bring the right foot down and "chop" the ball backwards and underneath your left leg.

Some were obvious choices (Diego Maradona, Michel Platini, and Lothar Matthaus among others), and some were grueling decisions. Let's face it: There are plenty of deserved stars. If your favorites didn't make the cut, drop us a line and tell us why you think they should have been included. We used the same criteria to determine our top players as we did for our top coaches: Those selected had to make a substantial impact over the past quarter century. Therefore, we've left out legends such as Pele, Franz Beckenbauer, and Johan Cruyff, who enjoyed their best performances prior to 1977.

Extractions: It was an entertaining clash with both teams displaying some spectacular soccer. Brazil however were easily the better side, having more shots at goal and looked far more formidable in attack. That said, Turkey put up an outstanding show and at times matched their more illustrious rivals, pass for pass. But in the end, Brazil were too good for them, setting up their first ever match against Germany in World Cup history. Brazil sprung no surprises in their line-up, preferring to bring in Kleberson for the suspended Ronaldinho. Turkey too decided to steer clear of experimnetation, keeping faith with Hakan Sukur in spite of his less than impressive performance in the quarter-finals. Brazil took the field in their traditional yellow shirts and blue shorts while Turkey appeared in an all red kit.
Extractions: Zidane comes second. Even though I rate him as highly as Figo, I think Zidane hasn't played to his level this year, perhaps because Zidane is the player who only rises to the big occasion. I don't mean that he isn't consistent, it's just that he seems to get on only when big things are at stake, so he isn't so impressive at minor games (and you know that sometimes Zidane can flare up a bit too much in these minor matches). Rivaldo is a great finisher, has the greatest ball control, and he has speed and power to his game, but I don't see him as a competitor, such as Figo and Zidane. While playing for Barcelona, he has been missing the extra stuff, the "wish for emulation", that could lead Barça to european glory. Beckham is a different case. Figo, Zidane and Rivaldo are more or less all-around players, Beckham is a specialist. He is the best crosser, he is the best in free kicks, but otherwise he hasn't the fantastic combination of skills that makes the other three football superstars. Football genius as he is, I think Beckham falls a bit "off cathegory" when compared to them.

You can see the audience in the first few rolls, though in a very rough outline. The ball movements are very smooth and clear, which makes the game play fun. The music is upbeat to compliment the game play. You can hear the cheers from the audience, but you won't hear anyone shouting "GOAL" when you score.
