In his opinion, this had degenerated too far. His eyes darted from man to man as his teammates grumbled and cursed. "It is enough!" Jason was startled to discover that the yell that made everyone stop and stare was from Karlis. When he had everyone's attention, Karlis stood up and continued. "We are not children. We are men. We are professionals. We play hockey, not drunk fight. We must win game." With that pronouncement, he directed a fierce glare around the room, then, satisfied, sat back down. Alternate Captain Scott Walker was quick to pick up after him. "He's right. I know the Wings are playing dirty, but if we ignore them and play *our* game, we can beat them. We've got the lead, now we've just got keep playing hard to win the game. If you want to hurt them, beat them - win the game! That means concentrating on our style of play, keeping control of the puck, forechecking hard and shooting on net every chance we get. Keep the puck out of our zone to take the pressure off Tomas. We can do this, but it means forgetting about everything that's happened so far and playing great hockey. If they're still going to play like it's a brawl instead of a hockey game, then that just works in our favor. Let's take advantage of it and play clean. Let them sit in the penalty box, not us."
