This is the best show ever. since i was a baby, we would watch it on Saturday nights and eat pizza. It is the best canadian icon in the history of this great country. daa dadada daaaaaaaaa! You haven't seen a hockey game on TV until you've watched HNIC. It just kicks ass compared to all the crappy American hockey shows. Hockey Night in Canada is the greatest show of its kind. Great analysts, great coverage, a great format, and best of all, Don Cherry. Grapes is a national treasure! This show is the perfect one for eating pizza while watching. May Ron MacLean, Don Cherry, Harry Neale and the rest of the gang continue for years to come! I wanted to say it jumped when Labbats started sponsoring the show instead of Molsons, but who cares. A double-header every Saturday night. It's a beauty. No glowing puck like they got on that American TV station. Ron McLean and Grapes are like cousins to me.
Extractions: JBondra Feb 19 2005, 12:17 PM Feb 19 2005, 12:22 PM Bad idea...they should just give a little bit. However, without Goodenow, the PA might accept it. TheGreatOneCSC Feb 19 2005, 12:27 PM After last night, I am beginning to trust TSN less and less. LWLock Feb 19 2005, 12:35 PM I think the cosmetic changes they are talking about is the 500k per year increase in the deal. It only makes sense that the deal should include some elevator clause if both sides believe that revenues should EVENTUALLY increase over the life of the 6 years. You can surely bet the NHLPA thinks this.

Extractions: Although Canada's women's and men's national hockey teams may have won gold at the Winter Olympics, another hockey team is also grabbing the nation's attention, especially that of its younger hockey fans. They are the Icehogs, a team captained by a delightful little guy known as Brady Brady. The double given name resulted from Brady's single-minded focus on hockey which required that he be called at least twice before his attention would be gained. Brady Brady's creative mother, in a double sense, is Mary Shaw. That Mary writes hockey-based books should not be a surprise given her long, continuing relationship with the game. "My brothers both played hockey, and I loved to skate, but I grew up playing ringette because they didn't really have girls' hockey then. I followed my brothers as they were growing up and got dragged to their games everywhere." Mary's connection with hockey has continued first through her husband, Brad, and now via her children. Mary was born in Oshawa, ON, on March 20, 1965, but, because her father worked for Bell Canada, she lived in many places until she was in grade four when the family finally settled in Waterloo. However, moving from city to city, even country to country, came back into Mary's life when she married Brad, a professional hockey player.
