The series against Hamilton will open a 6-game home stand at Mile One Stadium for the Baby Leafs. Following the Bulldogs, St. Johns will host two other divisional rivals with the Cleveland Barons visiting this coming weekend and the Syracuse Crunch coming to town next Tuesday and Wednesday. Of the 35 games remaining on the AHL Leafs schedule, 20 will be played at home, which should give the team an advantage when it comes to climbing the Northern Division standings. During the break, the St. Johns players had a busy week of practices while the other teams in the division made up some games they had in hand on St. Johns. Entering tomorrow nights tilt, the Leafs will sit fourth in the division with 47 points in 45 games, just 3 points back of Rochester for third place, and 4 points behind Cleveland for second. The Crunch are hot on the heels of St. Johns, just one point back with 4 games still in hand.
