While I meant to get some of this out earlier, I have just returned from my honeymoon so was tied up scoping out the topless women on the beaches of Southern France. But you did all hear that right, there is now a new Mrs. Titticock and I know what you are all thinking; yes she is taking my last name. However, to all of the young ladies out there, do not be discouraged, I am still more than happy to ogle the photos you send me so keep them coming. Now onto the moves:
Extractions: Red Sox Patriots Celtics Bruins ... Celtics August 3, 2005 The days of Antoine Walker in a Boston uniform are finally over. With the NBA granting approval for a five-team, 13-player deal the largest in league history Walker will move to Miami as part of a sign-and-trade transaction. The power forward will earn $53 million over the next six years, starting at approximately $6.9 million for the upcoming season, and he avoids the embarrassment of taking mid-level exception money ($5 million). Until 1 a.m. yesterday, when the deal truly took shape after conversations among Miami president Pat Riley, Boston executive director of basketball operations Danny Ainge, and Walker's agent, Mark Bartelstein, Walker remained one of a handful of high-profile free agents without a home. In exchange for Walker, Boston will receive two second-round picks from Miami (one in 2006 and one conditional pick in 2007 or '08); the rights to Albert Miralles, who currently plays for Valencia, Spain; a $5 million trade exception; Utah 7-footer Curtis Borchardt, and Miami wing player Qyntel Woods, as well as cash considerations from Miami. The trade exception allows the Celtics to do a deal in the next year in which the money does not match by the percentages required by the collective bargaining agreement.

Extractions: As students at Moyock High School, Gene Gregory and Sam Walker earned spots on the school's basketball and baseball teams. Four decades later, both are again vying for a position - this time for a seat on the Currituck County Board of Commissioners. Tuesday's Democratic primary will determine which one makes the first cut. The Crawford Township contest between incumbent Gregory, 55, of Shawboro and challenger Walker, 56, of Sligo is the only local race on Currituck County ballots. The winner will square off against Republican Bill Dobney in the fall general election. Other county races, including two women battling for the Moyock school board seat, will be decided in November. Even though they are the only local show in town this month, Gregory and Walker have been quite visible. Gregory's name is plastered on billboards, and Walker has constructed creative displays at his country store on heavily traveled N.C. 168. Both probably would have had even more of a presence had it not been for troubles with campaign signs.

Extractions: [an error occurred while processing this directive] The Boston Celtics have traded forward Antoine Walker to Miami as part of a five-team blockbuster that was announced Tuesday night. The Memphis Grizzlies acquired guard Eddie Jones from the Heat and guard Raul Lopez from the Utah Jazz in the deal, which also involved the New Orleans Hornets. The five-team, 13-player deal, is the largest in NBA history and came on the day following a one-month moratorium on free-agent signings and trades. In the deal, the Grizzlies sent guards Jason Williams, Andre Emmett and guard/forward James Posey to Miami and traded newly-acquired center Greg Ostertag to Utah. As part of the five-team trade, Miami dealt Rasual Butler to New Orleans and traded Qyntel Woods, two second round draft picks and the draft rights to Albert Miralles to Boston. The Jazz traded Curtis Borchardt to the Celtics and Kirk Snyder to the Hornets. The Hornets traded the draft rights to Roberto Duenas to Miami. The five-team trade is subject to all players passing team physicals.
