It's computed this way: League ERA minus pitcher ERA times innings pitched divided by nine, plus an adjustment for the home park. Lee Sinins uses the same statistic in his weekly stats report, only I believe he computes total runs saved, not just earned runs saved. I've supplied other rate stats, to give a bit more insight. In particular, I've included each pitcher's ERA and Innings pitched, as well as his FIP and associated DER. These are the exact same stats I use in the graphs, and they are defined in detail on the Details page .
