Since they were only sold as sets you will be hard pressed to find these sold individually (unlike Refractors, APs and other rare cards that have production runs under 1,000). These cards are not only a great investment, but they are also beautiful. I also have non-Members Only of these same players (if card # is 226 or higher) at a fraction of the costs listed below. Barry Bonds won the MVP, the batting title, led in walks, on-base (a ridiculous .582), slugging and OPS, and runs created. Sammy Sosa led in homers and runs, Lance Berkman in RBI, Vlad Guerrero in hits, Bobby Abreu in doubles, and Luis Castillo in steals. Randy Johnson won the pitching Triple Crown with leads in wins, ERA and strikeouts, and won the Cy Young. John Smoltz led in saves. Fantasy Baseball: Fantasy Baseball Correspondents ESPN, the best Fantasy baseball games on the Internet. Despite working on avery limited pitch count, kevin appier was impressive Wednesday against http://www.bradforddoolittle.com/archive/v.0407.htm
Extractions: Today, we catalogue the recent news out of the Royals camp in Surprise, Arizona, and try to interpret it for the upcoming season Despite working on a very limited pitch count, KEVIN APPIER was impressive Wednesday against Milwaukee. Facing mostly the projected starting lineup of the admittedly meek Brew Crew, Appier breezed through two innings, striking out three, walking none, allowing two hits and no runs. Thus far, Appier performance backs up rheotoric filtering out of camp that says Appier is throwing with more velocity than at any point last season. Appier has only worked three innings as the team is still targeting a mid-to-late April return to the rotation for the veteran righty. But he has struck out four batters in those three innings. Appier struck out only ten batters in 24 innings for the Angels in spring training last year. Now, dont get me wrong. Im not saying run out there and snap up Appier and wait for the victories to roll in. Im just pointing out that a one-time fantasy stud is generating favorable reports coming off an injury-tainted stat line last season. The limited results we have so far back up those favorable reports. If Appier continues his improved strikeout rate, then be ready to pounce .Until Appier is ready to rejoin the Royals rotation, the club is leaning towards using a de facto four-man rotation. With the number of off-days scheduled for April, there are only a couple of games where a fifth starter would be needed. Throw in a rainout or two, then they might not need one at all.

Billy-Ball, Baseball Commentary And Humor BillyBall is baseball commentary by Bill Chuck who enjoys the fun of the gameand, more important, They traded him to the NY Mets for kevin appier. http://www.billy-ball.com/news/5_15_2002.asp
Extractions: Billy-Ball is thinking about the Angels this morning. Last night, Mo Vaughn went 2-4 to bring his batting average up to .258 to go along with his 2 homers and 12 RBI. Yes, Im quite aware he doesnt play for the Angels anymore. They traded him to the NY Mets for Kevin Appier. Appier, held the Detroit Tigers to three hits and two runs over seven innings in last nights 9-2 Angels and he is now 4-1 with an ERA of 2.79. Appier is 3-0 with a 1.35 ERA over his last four starts which coincides with the Angels hot streak in which they have won six in a row and 15 of 17 which matches their best 17 game stretch in team history (June 1-17, 1998). Enjoy the streak, enjoy the song.
Return Of The Warblog: My Baseball Longshot Picks ... Plus, they play in arguably baseball s worst division (unless it s the AL Central) kevin appier, if he wasn t kicking off the 2004 campaign on the DL, http://www.mattwelch.com/archives/001719.html
Extractions: Main My Baseball Longshot Picks of the Year : Some of you may remember last spring , when I gave my three best longshots to win the World Series. One of them was the eventual champion Florida Marlins, who were then 100-1. So listen to me, and get rich . My best three bets for 2004: 3. The Kansas City Royals, 60-1 . Well, someone's gotta win the gruesome AL Central, and while I think Chicago has a better chance, the Royals won 83 games last year, and have some upside. Even at age 62, C Benito Santiago is a significant mark-up from Brent Mayne ; RF Juan Gonzalez is a safe bet to hit better than Michael Tucker , and 1B Mike Sweeney is healthy. Carlos Beltran , already a stud, is entering his prime, and Jeremy Affeldt seems set to take off. And their division really, really sucks. 2. The San Diego Padres, 40-1 . Sure, I was sweet on them last year too, but all these fine young pitching arms can take a while to develop, and now they've got A) an exciting new pitcher's park to dampen ERAs and pump up the enthusiasm, and B) massive upgrades on offense, in the form of RF Brian Giles , C Ramon Hernandez , and the rapidly developing 23-year-old Long Beach kid Sean Burroughs , in addition to bounce-back upside to last year's injured Phil Nevin and Ryan Klesko . Plus, they play in arguably baseball's worst division (unless it's the AL Central) Frisco's old and depleted and injured, the Dodgers are still anemic (even if I think they'll win the NL West), and the Diamondbacks are running out of horses to shoot. It could be the feel-good story of the year.
