Extractions: By John Porentas It's was not a very easy thing for a head coach to watch. Columbus Destroyers' Head Coach and former OSU linebacker Chris Spielman watched the opposing quarterback light up his team last weekend in his Arena Football League team's 10th game of the season. The guy threw for 324 yards on 23 competions in 35 attempts. The big number, however, was eight, count 'em, eight touchdowns with no interceptions. The final score: Arizona Rattlers 70, the Columbus Destroyers 53. Destroyers head coach and Buckeye legend Chris Spielman directs practice. Photo by Jim Davidson Spielman did not exactly enjoy watching that quarterback shred his defense. As a matter of fact, he did plenty of teeth grinding during the game. That continued on the plane ride back home to Columbus as well, but by the next day, Spielman got over it. He still hated the loss, but just couldn't stay upset with that quarterback, because it was former OSU standout Joe Germaine that did his team in last Sunday. "It took me awhile, but once I got back to Columbus, I was happy that Joe had a good game. You're always happy when a Buckeye does well. I just wish he hadn't done that well against my team," Spielman said.
