They will say the Baltimore Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV in spite of him. They'll note that Baltimore's defense dominated the New York Giants so thoroughly that Dilfer didn't have to do much more than make a couple plays. They'll declare that Dilfer is the worst quarterback to win a Super Bowl. And that's just fine with Dilfer, who continued to turn the other cheek even after he figured into Baltimore's 34-7 rout of the Giants. He didn't come back to Tampa, where he was often booed when he played for the Buccaneers, to stick it to his critics. "It was never about that," Dilfer said.
